Lee Webb, a well-known man within Northwest High School; after all, he has been running around the school for years and continues to run to this day. Webb brightens everyone’s days with a simple wave, even knowing some people just by their cars, from how often he has seen them.
Webb grew up about an hour away from Jackson in a relatively small town called White Cloud, Michigan. Webb graduated in 1967 from White Cloud High School. Webb started running track in junior high, where he fell in love with the sport. He continued to run until he had both knees replaced in 2018, after 57 years of running, they had worn out. After his recovery, Webb has continued to run to this day.
“I’ve been running for 57 years. I started in junior high school all the way through high school, l and even when I was in the military State-Police, I would run 5-6 days a week,” Said Webb
After Webb graduated, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served until his honorable discharge in 1971. Webb then joined the Michigan State Police in 1972 as a trooper and served in Detroit, Mt. Pleasant, Saginaw, and Jackson, where he decided it was time for a career change. So he bought a tractor and started hauling freight across the country, after that he settled to driving locally.

Webb retired in 2010 after 30 years of service and now spends his retirement maintaining his home and completing honey-do lists. Webb also continues to work out 6 days a week, practicing Taekwondo and achieving a third-degree black belt.
