Steamers, colorful ribbons, and the number 100 dangling from the ceiling, a sudden appearance around Northwest High School. Today, Feb. 4, 2026, marks the 100th day of school for Northwest, and each entrance at Northwest is filled for this celebration. As students walked in this morning, they were greeted by party blowers, peppermints, and exclusive 100th-day locker signs. At long last, the 100th day has arrived!

At Northwest, there are 180 school days each year. With the 100th being today, we have officially reached over the halfway point of the 2025-2026 school year. Currently, only 80 days remain.
Random students and staff were hunted through the hallways and classrooms, asked one simple question: What is a random word you like? Once answered, it is added to the 100 Random Words list. This list is compiled of 100 different words that the student body and staff have replied with.
Now that we have successfully reached the 100th day, it is time to finish the year strong. 80 more days of education until summer break, an anticipated moment for all. Take a moment to reflect on where you were and where you are now at Northwest, then cherish it, and push through the rest of the 2025-2026 school year!
