Best friends are among the most important things in life. Having someone to be there for you is immensely important for growth, development, and mental health. Northwest High School definitely isn’t short on students, and among them, there are bold and true friendships at every turn.
Freshmen Maycee Lewis (Right) and Emma Edwards (Left), partners in crime, have been friends since the 6th grade. “Having Emma as my best friend is so great because she is always there for me, laughing or crying,” said Lewis.
Sophomores Sarah Dondineu (Left) and Keirsten Harris (Right) wait eagerly for band class to come, where they get to see each other. They describe their friendship as “easy-going” and thoroughly enjoy one another’s company.
Freshmen Claira Post (Left) and Izzy Banks (Right) became close friends more recently, though their bond is something that keeps both of them going. When asked about her best friend, Post said, ¨Izzy is always there for me no matter what. She is one of the best parts of my day.
Freshman Zane White (Left) and Ethan Scott (Right) have become close friends over the course of this year, as they have math together and go to youth group.
Freshmen Natalie Tilford (Right) and Abigail Kulhawik (Left) spend time together at lunch, classes, and cheer. Their friendship is very important to them, having been friends long before their sport, though cheerleading and school have certainly brought them together.
Kaylah Georgopoulos: Kaylah is a freshman who loves to write and share stories. She does sideline and competitive cheer at Northwest as well as various school programs and activities.
