Fashion 101

Tips to prevent outfit malfunctions.

Fashion is an art. It allows you to express yourself in any way you wish. As Gossip Girl character Blair Waldorf says, “Fashion is the most powerful art there is. It’s a movement, design, and architecture all in one. It shows the world who we are and who we’d like to be.”

Pay attention to washing labels.

This is also important! If you ignore the washing instructions on your clothes, the results can vary. Your clothing can shrink, become discolored, and even fall apart. To ensure that your clothes stay in good condition, follow all the directions when washing your clothes.

Put together your outfit the night before.

This allows you to make sure you have a complete look as well as giving you a little bit extra time in the morning.

Accessories are key.

Accessories tie the whole outfit together. You can keep it simple or make it extravagant. Adding a ring or a statement necklace gives your outfit character and makes it unique.

Ignore the size label, wear what fits.

Even though the size is not what you want it to be, you should always wear your actual size. If something is too tight or too big it can throw off your outfit. If you feel uncomfortable, you probably look like you are.

Dress for yourself, not for anyone else.

Never feel as though you have to wear a certain trend to fit in if you do not like it. You should always dress for yourself and in what makes you happy.

Your outfit is just as important as your confidence.

One of the most important things is to feel confident in what you wear. Confidence is the most beautiful accessory you could have.
