The chance to save three lives is back. On Thursday, Jan. 21, there will be another blood drive. There is an urgent need for blood in the Jackson community. Students who choose to give need to eat and drink plenty of water before donating.Those who are ineligible to donate blood still have opportunity to help with other tasks.

The benefits for students to take part in donating blood or time:

• Give: Three blood donations
  • Receive: Red Cross Red Cord
• Give: Three blood donations and eight hours of Red Cross service
  • Receive: Red Cross Red Cord and a chance to win a $5,000 scholarship
• Give: Three blood donations, eight hours of Red Cross Service, and five blood donation referrals
  • Receive: Red Cross Red Cord, a recommendation from your local Red Cross executive, and a chance to win a 5,000 dollars scholarship
