Marching Mounties host annual festival, receive high rating

On Oct. 21 Northwest hosted an MSBOA (Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association) marching band festival at the football stadium.

The first band performed at 3:15 p.m. before Northwest closed the festival with an 8:30 performance. The performances were rated from one to five, with one being the highest and five is the lowest. Northwest received an overall rating of one, and has received a rating of one every year since 1980.

Sixteen other schools performed. The performances were divided into Class B, C and D.

The ratings were announced after each performance, with the Marching Mounties receiving their rating at 9 p.m.
