Looking For Alaska by John Green
Though this tearjerker was published in 2005, it still remains a best seller. This story takes place at a boarding school in Alabama with a boy named Miles Halter, who is done living his safe life at home.
This 283 paged novel shows Miles’ journey to escape his own ‘labyrinth’ as he meets new friends and learns how to live life on the edge. He learns the ways of his boarding school and finds a place he really fits in.
This novel was enjoyable because of the humor and fun characters John Green includes in the story. Though it may get emotional, there is always a joke here and there to cheer up the reader.

Amya is a junior who enjoys music and playing instruments.
