Get a look into competitive cheer

Ariana Koker, Feature Editor

On Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm, come and see what competitive cheer is all about! Participate, or sit back and ask questions. This experience gives an inside look into what this years competitive cheer team has to offer to new and returning members.

The current team members will be having a regular practice to show what really happens in cheer, starting off with a warm up, stretching, tumbling, jumps, chants, and stunting. After, the team will be finishing with information on the upcoming season. Current members are handing out invitations to get the word out.

Taylor Burder, alumni of the program, is the new JV coach. Burder is eager to get the season started and is focused on transitioning the JV members cohesively to the varsity level.

Varsity Sideline and Competitive coach Melissa Cotio, is now being assisted by Sandy Walsh this year. The new coaches will help both the JV and Varsity teams build a strong foundation for the season.

If you are interested in taking part of this experience then see a returning member for an invitation and more details.
