Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative educates students

Thursday, March 24, the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative (TPPI) assembly was held in the cafetorium.

Beginning with a short presentation with facts and statistics pulled from Jackson County and Northwest, the hour and a half assembly started with a bang.

It was then continued with a 30 minute video on the lives of teens from the Jackson area who have dealt with the after math of teen pregnancy. After the video clip, six teen parents were put on a panel to answer questions on their regrets on the past and their hopes for the future.

The hopeful outcome of the TPPI assembly is to educate the student body more on the effects and lessen the possibility of teen pregnancy.
