Softball starts with home game

The 2015 season ended in a loss to Eaton Rapids in the Pre-District game at Western High School for the Northwest Varsity Softball team. They finished 11-3 in the conference, one game short of first place, and 21-14 overall.

The team lost three seniors, including Sydney Vernier who earned a partial scholarship to Siena Heights University, but still have a solid starting line-up that include current senior Sarah Gwinn.

Last season, Sarah Gwinn had a team-high batting average of .445 and scored 48 runs, also a team high. Other returning players include Nichole Keeder, Mallory West, and Leah Olmstead also rejoin the team.

Head coach for the Varsity softball team is Alicia Mobley while JV head coach is Kelly Szymanski.
