Internet leaves permanent impressions

The internet is similar to tattoos.  Everything you post on the internet is out there forever much like tattoos are on the body. No matter what someone says most people would agree that when a person posts a photo or status is out there for eternity. Deleted or not an individual can find old posts or photos off the internet.

“I think too many people just don’t care anymore, but they need to be more cautious,” said junior Kara Brown.

On the other hand, there are many skeptics of this concept. Some people believe that  when  something is erased from the media it is deleted for good and there is a small percent of finding old posts and pictures.

“I have a hard time believing that a post or picture is out there forever,” said sophomore Cecelia Klee. “If they did really wanted to find something they would have to dig deep to see it.”

When  a person has a tattoo it will stay on their skin forever unless they get it surgically removed then  there will more than likely still be a scar. Same goes for posting something on the internet for everyone to see, someone may think the  delete button is the best option to get rid of something but there will always be something a person can pull up at anytime.  The only way to prevent unwanted photos or posts is to simply not press send.
