The Equestrian team is currently in six place after competing at two meets with one left before regional and state competitions.

Previously, riders rivaled other schools on Aug. 27, Sept. 11, and Sept. 8. Regionals are held on Oct. 1 and 2, and states take place on Oct. 14, 15, and 16.

Coach Dave Cox is entering his 15 year of advising the team. Freshman Madison Grenke, junior MacKenzie Sexton, and Freshman Zach Sommers are the current active riders. Equestrian is always looking for more members.

“[The team is all about] making new friends and sharing the love for riding horses,” said Sexton.

For more information, contact Dave Cox or Mrs. Angela Klobuchar at the Kidder Middle School.

“It’s fun, it’s not easy, and yes, it’s a sport,” says Grenke.
